In 2010, Craig Grossi, a Marine, found himself the middle of some of the fiercest fighting Afghanistan. There he was doing intelligence work with the most elite fighters in the Corps, The Marine Recon Raiders. However, in the midst of war, he found an unlikely friend, a short cream colored dog he called Fred. Matt Saintsing recently spoke with Craig about this story, which is now available in bookstores nationwide.
