Verizon is offering BIG savings for veterans, active duty service members and their families with exclusive discounts. And if you're interested in a career, Verizon has a program for veterans to join their team too.

As part of their commitment to serving men and women in uniform, you can save on phone lines for yourself and the whole family. For one phone line you can enjoy a $15 discount and for three phones or more you can get $40 off unlimited phone plans. Yes, that means you can text, post, and surf the web until your heart's desire without paying for extra data.

But even if you don't need all the bells and whistles of having unlimited everything, you can still get 15 percent off other phone plans.

Thinking about splurging on a super cool tactical phone case? With their new discounts, you can get 25 percent off phone accessories and if you've been thinking about switching carriers, now might be the perfect time.

Until July 18th, all veterans, guard and reservists, and Gold Star Families can receive a $200 MasterCard prepaid gift card when you switch to Verizon and activate a new smartphone.

So, how exactly can you get in on these savings? All you need is the proper identification.

Active-Duty

  • Your work or government-issued email address
  • Recent paystub issued within the last 60 days
  • SCRA Status report

Veterans

  • Veterans Identification Card (VIC)
  • Veterans Health Identification Card (VHIC)
  • Veterans Advantage Card (VAC)
  • DD Form 214 (or any other government issued, legacy discharge document)
  • Military Retiree Account Statement

But giving back to the military community doesn't stop with discounts. 85% of military jobs transfer to their civilian careers and Verizon is always looking for more veterans to join their team.

"With their superb training, discipline and experience supporting our country, our more than 11,000 veterans contribute their skills across our entire business to help us to be the best in the industry. As a US Navy veteran, many of the lessons learned helped shape me as a leader and I’m proud to stand with the thousands of Verizon employees who’ve served both our country and our company with integrity and honor,” said Lowell C. McAdam, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Verizon.
