Meet the woman who is challenging the entire United States Marine Corps. We talked with former, USMC Lt. Col. Kate Germano, about her upcoming book, Fight Like a Girl. Together with co-author and Army veteran, Kelly Kennedy, they take you behind the scenes and reveal what life is like for a female Marine and how lower standards for female recruits have created an environment of benevolent sexism in the Corps.

In this episode we discussed:

  • Why being at 4th Battalion was "tears and cupcakes."
  • Why is it expected women fall out of The Crucible Hike.
  • How a male recruit died because of abusive training.
  • Why being a "squeaky wheel" in the Marine Corps is not a good thing.

Fight Like a Girl is currently available to buy on pre-order. You can buy it in stores and online April 3, 2018.
