Another week, another Steam sale! Let's see what His Highness Lord Gaben has blessed us with this week:

Dying Light

It wouldn't be a list of video games without a zombie game. The undead are like Nazis in games, you don't need a reason to kill them, you just do! This game is a free-roaming, first person experience about a mysterious outbreak on an idealic island. Through a mix of parkour and flat-out running, you'll explore the island, scavenge for supplies and try to escape before you become zombie chow. But you had better be indoors before sundown, because the zombies get extra spicy at night!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

What more really needs to be said about this game? Released on more consoles than I think any other game besides Pong or Pac-Man, Skyrim is one of the best games ever made. The special edition boasts add-ons with all-new features like remastered art and effects, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, screen-space reflections and more. And, of course, the game fully supports mods for even more insanity. If for some reason you've never played, do yourself a favor and pick this one up on sale!

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Another venerable game franchise, this installment follows on the heels of the 2013 reboot. You play as gaming heroine Lara Croft in a hostile world, where you'll have to hunt animals for supplies, craft weapons, and fight the elements, all while avoiding the ruthless Trinity organization. The 20 year anniversary comes with a season pass for all the game's DLC, so hurry and get your copy!

SOMA

From the creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent comes a game that will make you question your very existence. You are trapped in the underwater research facility Pathos-II, where the people have gone crazy and the robots have begun to think. Like Amnesia, this isn't a run-and-gun adventure. There are no shotguns or grenades. You have to outthink your enemies, or outrun them as a last resort, all while putting together the pieces of what happened and escape.

The Talos Principle

This game will really boil the old noodle. A puzzle game in the tradition of Myst and other classics, Talos Principle casts you as a newly awakened robot in a confusing world of ancient ruins and advanced technology. You'll divert lasers, control drones, and even manipulate time to solve puzzles, all while the philosophical questions about who you really are plague your mind. A very calm, yet challenging puzzle game you'll play for hours.
