This July 4th sit back, relax, and enjoy a movie. Here are a few suggestions.

Independence Day

This classic sci-fi movie will put you in the mood to launch some fireworks in defiance of an alien take over. Nothing says ‘Merica more than Will Smith’s aerial dogfight and Bill Pullman’s Hooah speech before the big counter-attack.

The Patriot

Celebrate the birth of our nation by following Revolutionary War militiamen as they lead a campaign of guerrilla warfare against the British military.

Air Force One

Harrison Ford as U.S. President. Need we say more? As a hostage situation unfolds on Air Force One, the president fights back.

Born on the Fourth of July

This award-winning movie follows veteran Ron Kovic, played by Tom Cruise, from childhood, to the battlefields of Vietnam, then to recover from a traumatic injury, and his struggle to reintegrate into society.

Top Gun

Another classic Tom Cruise movie, of which I’m sure you’re already singing “Danger Zone” in your head. These jets are flying so fast that you’ll spit out your coffee and yell about your “need for speed.”

This is a fun, action-packed movie based on the classic Hasbro game. One of the best elements of this movie is seeing veterans serving once again to defend the world.

Behind Enemy Lines

A pilot, played by Owen Wilson, is shot down during the Bosnian War after getting photographic evidence of genocide. He must find his way back to safety while evading the enemy who is right on his tail.
