Meet Jarid Watson

Jarid Watson grew up in Struthers, Ohio, and joined the Air Force in 2005.

Trained as a military broadcast journalist, his assignments took him to Osan Air Base in Korea and Aviano Air Base in Italy. He also deployed to Afghanistan for a tour at Bagram Air Field.

The Air Force paid Jarid’s way through a nearly year-long motion media production course at Syracuse University. Studying there, he earned credits that helped him earn a bachelor’s degree in communications.

While still in uniform, Jarid routinely interviewed the nation’s most senior military leaders and served as official videographer of the Thunderbirds, the Air Force’s flight demonstration team.

As a veteran, Jarid now lives in the Washington, D.C. area, where he enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.
